About Us
DEAD-END CLUB was started by Mars Heyward (AKA Marsoid) as a one-stop shop for all merch inspired by his projects including digital downloads, fan designs, and original art all consolidated in a single online store.
Since the 2010s, Mars has worked a variety of dead-end jobs to scrape by while drawing as a hobby. In 2016, Mars started a webcomic called Long Exposure that gained abrupt success online, inspiring him to make the leap to work full-time on his own projects. Since then, his art and comics have amassed a steady and loyal community of fans that could see themselves in the queer and marginalized characters found in Long Exposure and his current ongoing webcomic, Ride or Die.
The name DEAD-END CLUB comes from "Dead-Enders," the name of the main racing team in Ride or Die. It represents the complicated feelings of anxiety for the future, frustration over current events, and nostalgia for the past.
